La Follette Alumni Emily Jones Serves as ASL Interpreter for 59th Inaugural Ceremony

As part of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies broadcast of the 59th Inauguration, La Follette's very own Emily Jones served as one of the American Sign Language Interpreters for the historic occasion signing as President Biden and Vice President Harris took their oaths of office.

Emily learned sign language at La Follette. She graduated in 2002 and went on to earn her undergraduate degree from UW Milwaukee. Emily went on to earn her masters from Gallaudet University in Washington, DC.
