La Follette's Grad Academy program concluded it's first semester with much to be proud of. This program, supported by the Board of Visitors, helps students who need additional support and attention.
Under the direction of Andrew Graham and Jeff Carlson, Grad Academy's two primary instructors, students receive academic, social and emotional support, employment and work credit guidance and much more.
Over the first semester, students earned a total of 82.5 credits, 65.5 in Grad Academy alone. Credits outside the Grad Academy classroom are earned through participation in electives in the greater LHS. For the semester the average Grad Academy GPA is 3.92. In addition, the program had its first student complete all of the necessary requirements to graduate.
Grad Academy is grateful to the BoV for its support of the program and we look forward to seeing it continue to flourish and support La Follette students.
