The La Follette Capital Fund (LCF) is structured as a pass-through fund, so all donations collected are available for immediate use. The LCF is supported solely by gifts from individuals, groups, and businesses. It provides funds to be used at the discretion of La Follette’s Principal for projects to improve facilities, infrastructure, and classrooms, and to enhance staff's ability to teach students. 

 

The LFC's track record shows it is a successful fundraiser, able to complete complex projects and effectively uses its funds. This fund has been responsible for:

• Raising over $70,0000 to refurbish the auditorium seating

• Purchasing new theater lighting

• Providing other teaching aids such as smart boards

• Growing La Follette's individual endowment fund to nearly $120,000.  It is now the third largest endowment of all 50 MMSD schools.  The endowment fund now provides meaningful annual income to support grants for teachers.
